Paradise Earth Shift (2013) depicts humanity’s intrinsic yet tenuous relationship with the earth. The interconnected sides portray the San Andreas Fault line activated by the tectonic plate shifts that threaten Southern California. Its seismic waves extend into a human hand planting a seed that germinates into a Bird of Paradise. Its intricate root system spans back into an abstracted textural representation of earth crust.
